All YP hair pieces are handmade. Due to the nature of working with hair, no two clips will be exactly alike. For this reason please allow for small deviations in shape of each piece. Thank you for understanding.

Proper storage/handling can significantly extend the life of the hairpiece

Girasol clips

Handling Tips:

  • Blended Human/Synthetic Hair Mix: These clips are more delicate and should be handled with extra care. Avoid pulling, twisting, or exposing them to high heat or submerging in water, as the different fiber types/topcoat sealer can respond unpredictably. 
  • 100% Afrelle Synthetic Braiding Hair: These clips are more durable and can withstand a bit more manhandling. Still avoid pulling, twisting, or exposing them to high heat or submerging in water, as the different fiber types/topcoat sealer can respond unpredictably.
  • Storage: Store your clip in a cool, dry place. A little box or breathable fabric pouch is ideal to help preserve the shape and prevent tearing/snagging.
  • Cleaning: Gently remove any particles by dusting with a soft brush (small eyeshadow brushes work best). Spot treat blended hair components with water based hairsprays to bring back shine (my go to is the Rizos Curls Volumizing Spray)
  • Avoid using pure water alone, &/or alcohol based sprays/ styling products (such as got2b spray), it will get crusty over time i promise you, on blended hair components. For 100% afrelle synthetic pieces, got2b spray used lightly works well, just dont overdo it.

Mariposa/Moño Clips

Mariposa & Moño Clips are handbraided & shaped — made from synthetic 100% non toxic afrelle fiber braiding hair. Like any braided style, they may develop flyaways or fraying hairs over time with regular use. This is natural and part of how the piece settles with wear.

Tidy & Refresh Your Clip:

  • Flyaways?
    Simply snip stray hairs carefully with small, sharp scissors.

Storage:

Keep your Clip in a dry, cool place. Avoid crushing or exposing it to extreme heat/humidity for long periods.
